In fact, someone was comparing this to God of War III earlier, saying that GOW had more polygons, and this is exactly where my logic comes in - I'm not seeing numbers when playing something, but watching footage of both games I did see individual polygons on GOW but didn't on Bayonetta.

What? You saw individual polygons in GOW? Not even PS1 games look that bad. And GOW III definitely has better graphics than Bayonetta.
