I was fortunate enough to fulfill all the required conditions to receive an early demo code so I've been getting familiar with this new Smash for the last few hours. Here's my quick impressions:

First of all, getting used to the controls is a challenge, my hands are so used to the Gamecube controller that I sometimes press the wrong button. Also the lack of C-stick does make a difference but I think it'll be a good experience to force myself not to depend on it for quick smashes and air attacks.

The controls are a definite challenge. My muscle memory is fighting me every step of the way

Other than that: the graphics are crisp and clean, the action is silky smooth, and the items are a lot of fun.

I've been really impressed with Mega Man. He has a strong stable of A and B attacks, and his air attacks are particularly strong, something that I use a lot. His final smash is just a love letter to fans

I could definitely see him becoming one of my go-to fighters.

One thing though is that we don't access to the control customization in the demo. I think being able to remap the buttons will be very helpful since I really don't like "Up to jump" and I also usually map X to grab since I don't need two jump buttons and I struggle with the L button.
