Ugh, now I remember why I had stopped going back for re-reads. It screws with my head to read things back with the timing of when it happened.
I'm leaning toward Nickels being town, it would be a colossal risk to attempt this type of play as scum, especially since the reward is minimal. What I mean by that is that if he avoids the lynch toDay, it's not like he'll suddenly be considered a confirmed townie. Funny thing is that his "I'm always going to be suspicious from now on" outburst was a self-fulfilling prophecy: if he hadn't done it he would have been fine but now because of it, he's going to be considered suspicious all game long.
