In Japan, I think Sony is losing more money than one would initially think, for two reasons:
1- It's the place where the PS3 is the cheapest ($411 and $493 for the two models) EDIT - I just noticed, in Hong Kong it's cheaper, but the point stands
2- Software sales suck (they're actually LESS than hardware sales every week, which is astoundingly low).
That's gotta hurt.
