Man, you're really hurt I made such a claim, aren't you? Have been able to sleep since then? Why is it so hard to believe that 3rd party devs would put their primary focus on the overwhelming dominant console? They did it with the PS1 and PS2. Both of which were less powerful than their competitors. Granted their differences were less than Wii is to PS360. But, that doesn't matter. By end of this year Wii will have the best attach ratio, highest software sales, and greater than 55% market share. The most anticipated games will be created on the Wii and then ported to PS360, just like all were created on PS2 and ported to Xbox/GC. Its not fanboyism, that's just how 3rd parties have always done it. Why would they stop now? |
Oh so it's the end of this year now that the Wii is going to get all the big third party titles. I guess we'll have to wait and see but I'll say the same thing I said last year when people were predicting the exact same thing for the end of 2007, it's not going to happen. It's pretty obvious now (at least to me) that the Wii is going to get a lot of casual low to medium budget titles and the majority of the big budget releases are going to be 360/PS3/PC.
I mean whenever EA, Ubisoft, T2, etc talk about the Wii and the games they have planned for it the word "casual" comes up almost every time. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize exactly what they mean and what it means for Wii games for 2008 and 2009. |
Though i like the Wii the most, i agre. I prefer to play my epic games on an HD console.
