Since no one else will say it; Destiny looks dissapointing

I've been looking at early impressions from reviewers and they're not so great. It seems like the main problem with the game is that it tries to be a whole bunch of things (mainly Halo, Borderlands, and Mass Effect) but ends up being a somewhat weak jack of all trades so none of its core elements really stand out. I was never really interested by it from the beginning because IMO Bungie didn't do a good job of communicating what the game was actually trying to be, and it seems like that sentiment is carried into the impressions reviewers are having so far.
