WTF is wrong with EA lately?! (Sims4, nhl, bf4 desaster etc)

I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do to Mass Effect 4...
Has there been any talk about a Dead Space 4???
Valve might not be able to count to three, but EA clearly can, and they do so in a way that manages to disgrace numbers one and two...
