For you to consider that alright, you either a) had the lowest expectations to begin with or b) are in serious denial about the bleak situation there. Twenty-three thousand is horrendous, even for Xbox.

You  are just trying to troll right?  You always act like you know everything but then how can you not know that they only shipped 40K? so what were your expectations then that they sold 50k?

Also we had plenty of threads where people reported that nobody was waiting in line for a Xbox one and that the situation was very dramatic....We even got articles with only one guy buying a Xbox one in a store so ofcourse people expect low numbers;...Check the Xbox empire thread and you will find no one who would even predict 20K FW....

Honestly Xbox one did a lot better than I think everyone expected, I think I had the highest predicition with 40K sold first MONTH.

If you ask me you are trying to downplay everyone because Xbox one did better than expected...  Very sad and immature for somebody who defended the 5-6K PS4 sales and called them fine because Sony did not started yet..

The thing about measuring against personal expectations is, great, if something does better than you anticipated, then fantastic. But personal expectation isn't the only measuring stick, and from a business perspective, it means less than nothing. Far more important to Microsoft would be the performance of their brand compared to other efforts; if not doing BETTER than the Xbox or Xbox 360, ideally would still be nice if they were about equal. Which isn't the case, as figures shown earlier suggest that the Xbox One's launch moved a bit over half the units the Xbox 360 did.

So, even ignoring Sony's numbers, and Nintendo's numbers, and solely focusing on Microsoft's numbers, it's pretty disappointing, as it suggests Microsoft couldn't even hold onto what marketshare they had last generation. :/ Remains to be seen what the next month or two brings, of course, but if the sales momentum drops for the Xbox One with anywhere near the speed it did for the PS4, by the time we're six months in, the PS4's 5-6k sales might actually look really big compared to the handful of units the Xbox One moves.

Edit: Just noticed the day ban. *facepalm* Sorry Cone! Least I'm keeping dem quote trees trimmed! =D
