I agree. As someone who has been playing video games since 1978, I'm embarrassed by the kind of people who share my hobby. I envy the casuals who don't have any serious obsession with the industry as they are shielded from the likes of Mr. Malka's brood.

You have to remember that there are  these "sorts" in everything. There is just a dark side to humanity and that some of them choose to be vocally engaged in video games bears no resemblence on gaming itself. I say that towards both sides, as I'm not particularly happy of the  bias cherry picked "social criticism" that's also been heavily directed at gaming lately either. But how other people have "defended" this is equally  abhorent.

I'd say 95% of gamers are actually in the middle not giving a flying f**k either way while a very vocal social media war wages between the bigots. It's just such a shame that the reputation of our hobby (which has never been partiularly positive outside of gaming) is being dragged through the mud with them.
