Inter-racial couples still have children so they aren't a problem for them. Same sex couples, however, can't have children by themselves and therefore they are of no use (so to speak) for them.

By your logic, should we prevent all individuals that cannot have children to be married? That would include post-menapausal women, men with vasectomies or low sperm counts).  Should their be age restrictions on marriage?

Just to be clear, I'm in no way against same sex couples. I just wanted to make it clear if that was the impression you got from my post. I merely said what I think is the biggest difference of accept one group and not the other.

For me, people can do whatever they want as long as both (or more) parts agree and understand what are doing and it doesn't go against the law.
