Why do "some" religious groups not accept Same Sex relations, but have no problems with Inter- racial relations?

But shouldn't the actual rulers of those old religions be the first to put those old writings in context, not us?

I'm speaking to everyone, both the rulers and the rest of the world. Too many people take religious text at face value, religious people do it too.

I wholeheartedly agree with that.  Some people take what other men wrote way too seriously.

About religious people, the impression I take from news, interviews and other bits of info, is that this is one of those cases where the religious men and women that work and life alongside us and see how reality is, think and do one think. But the higher ranks in their orders, which more often than not know little about the problems of the "real world", do and say completely different things.
