OK, the real answer is that all laptop cards are poor except the ones which drain your battery life in 10 seconds. The 2600 is a good compromise between battery life, cost and performance.
And Vista can run OK in 2GB of RAM. It's just if you plan to use 3D design apps or Photoshop or something.
I've changed my opinion: get the laptop in the first post. If you want to seriously game, get a desktop.
