As for that PSP vs DS argument that we already had...it's basically Crisis Core and Dissidia (newly announced btw) vs DQ9, FF12RW, and FFTA2. Those are the big releases. I'll enjoy the FFT remake on the PSP and I'm sure people will enjoy some of the other DS games, but let's wait and see how those games end up before we start saying Square is abandonning PSP and PS3.

I will stake my slightly fewer years of gaming against yours and say that the PS3 and 360 will not have any kind of drought of games in 2009. The lineup for both, and especially the PS3 (imo), are going to boost sales the 2nd half of the year.

Oh yeah, and this thread is about Soul Calibur IV being announced for the PS3 and 360. But I guess you somehow know they started that game years ago or something.

The statement that "most of the high profile games are going to the PS3 and/or 360" isn't really fair. Once again, I think you're lumping PS3/360 together to make the PS3 look good, when it's the 360 that's doing most of the heavy lifting here.

If you look here, over the last two months, the Xbox360 has had 7 new exclusive games announced by third party developers: the Playstation 3 has one, developed by "Ignition games," hardly a flagship software developer.

Otherwise, I largely agree with your analysis. I do think you mistake your personal opinions about game quality with those of the general public (you even admit you speak only for your own opinion), but otherwise I think your statements are spot on.
