 Well, I was the shy, quiet guy and she was the insanely hot, popular, captain of the varsity cheerleading squad girl.

BTW, she loved video games and weird al. (The ultimate in female!) 

When I look back, it was really obvious that she liked me, so I should have asked her but I was just too nervous.
