Actually the Core architecture has its roots in the Pentium M - Centrino processors. You know the 2.0ghz ones that outperformed the 3ghz P4's? Furthermore those have their roots at the Pentium III architecture. :)

either way, it's not like he's going to understand that now is he? what i was trying to establish was that there is a difference between core duo and core 2 duo, and that core 2 duo is better.
