How is this "games behind a paywall" exactly? It's not like you can't buy these games otherwise now. And you guys like to be pessimistic about anything.  Some people see value behind this service and they don't constantly spell doom and gloom.

Fixed that for you. What you don't seem to understand, and fail to learn from recent history of DLC increase its that this practice WILL lead to all games from that publisher being behind that paywall. Sure they will give you a 10% discount but good luck playing the game/multiplayer/dlc without owning the subscription.

You mean that unless you subs to EAA you will not be able to buy any of their games? When we'll get there we'll talk. Until then don't act like it's fact.

Maybe you have heard this poem before by  Martin Niemöller.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

If you wait for things to get bad and affect you directly its going to be to late by then. The same thing that happened with DLC.

This will happen in stages like it was mentioned before. First you wont be able to purchase DLC day one without it. Second there will be exclusive content. Third they will lock existing contet with out it. Then you will only be able to get the game with it. Finaly every third party publisher will do the same and to enjoy diferent games you will need like over $200 a year in subs to play.

First, gaming is expensive. Say a person buys 4 games in a year at launch with pre order deals. $65x4=$260. Should i continue?
