What you say worries me now. What if people dismis EA for all that you mentioned, but welcome activision when they do it since EA is proven to be the worst but activision seems at least to not get the hate? It will just delay the inevitable.

I really, reaallly hope that that doesn't happen. Now you have brought this theoretical scenario into the equation, I'm quite glad Sony did not go with EA Access. With the amount of marketshare they control, it'll help not make this kind of business practice take off. In addition, as Jim pointed out, these companies will have to deal with major retailers because Gamestop, Amazon, Toys R' Us, Walmart, Best Buy, etc. will NOT be happy with those kinds of services.
