When was the last time you heard of a single big name game that hadn't begun development more than a year ago for the PS3 and 360? Granted, the Wii doesn't have a whole lot of these but at least companies are starting to express the desire to change that. You won't notice the drying up of software for the 2 systems till 2009, because you have big titles set for release through 08, but I stake my 20 years of gaming on this statement. There will be a HUGE software dryup in 2009 on the 360 and PS3, and the shift in development of big titles to the Wii will become apparent in 2008.

Please stop talking about your predictions as if they were fact, you have no idea what the software situation for the 360 will be in 2009. And as for not hearing about any big name games being announced for the 360 in the last year, well maybe you should actually look at gaming websites that cover the 360 because there have been a lot of announcements for new games: Tom Clancy's Endwar, Fracture, Saints Row 2, Dungeon Hero, Lego Batman, America's Army 2, Fallout 3, Condemned 2, The Last Remnant, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, Deus Ex 3, Banjo Kazooie 3, Gears of War 2, and many other games have been announced and most have started development after the success of the Wii.

It is my opinion and my prediction and I am entitled to it.  I at least bother to site it with evidence.  You just listed a LOT of crap games, but let's go through it anyway.

Tom Clancy's Endwar, er... duh.  This is exactly what I just said.  Old IPs will remain on the systems, but that doesn't mean they will be the focus of development.

Fracture, we know nothing about it other than that it's a lucas arts game that makes the ground shake... k.  Obviously a huge title.

Saints Row 2, a sequel to a decent game, hardly AAA though.

Dungeon Hero, an underground life sim.  Obviously huge /sarcasm

Lego Batman, The only console this has been anounced for is the PS2.  Much more likely to hit Wii than 360.

America's Army 2, The sequel to a military recruitment propoganda MMO owned by the US Government, obviously a huge 3rd party developer.

Fallout 3, Anounced in 2006, yes obviously this was begun recently! /sarcasm

Condemed 2, anounced in May, screenshots presented upon anouncement.  If you think that it took them less than 6 months to get the game to the level that they can take screenshots and present them to gaming websites, you have no understanding whatsoever of the development process and I'm wasting my time on you.

The Last Remnant,  Very obviously been in development more than a year.  Again, it comes back to your knowledge of the development process.

Dark Messaih of Might and Magic... now you're just getting ridiculous.  It's a port of a PC game released almost a year ago.  Another huge 3rd party developer game obviously /sarcasm yet again.

Chronicles of Riddick, a remake of the 2004 game... maybe you should be debating for my side.   You seem intent on proving my point through sitations with no research behind them whatsoever.  Always fun to debate people who are too defensive of their system to do the research required to debate reasonably.

Dues Ex 3, yep, I'll give you that one.  Congratulations on one recently anounced (probably) large development cost game from a big publisher... oh wait.  Well, Eidos made Tomb Raider anyway....

Banjo Threeie, 2nd party... unbelievable how horrible your game choices have been to try and prove me wrong.

Gears of War 2, K I'll give you that one too.

So, out of a list of 16 games only 2 even remotely supported your attack on my argument.  Thanks for being such a reasonable and intellegent debater.  You practically proved my point right there.  There are no new big games being anounced anymore.  All you did was get some half-assed IGN search without even bothering to pay attention to the details.  Not a good idea if you intend to debate on this website.
