I think they were late to the party and should have tried to get out in as many "markets" as possible regardless of tier. In today's economy you don't have very many gamers buying ALL options so any delay is a disadvantage. Though, if we all recall, the 360 (albeit launched a year earlier) was a solid 3:1 favorite over the PS3 and yet at the end of the day both sold 80+ million units so I'm not that concerned about the long term success of the console. It is already outperforming (correct me if I'm wrong) the 360 in terms of year to date when it launched which I can't list as a "failure/flop". Sony just said the rights things at the right time and the whole graphical differences...negligible. I've watched NUMEROUS comparisons of games for XB1/PS4/PC and the differences aren't that noticeable if at all. Besides for all those "hardcore" gamers out there, if you truly are, you'll just game on PC since PC is far superior to ANY consoles on the market hands down. No one can deny that. Personally, I'm a console fan and will continue to game on consoles. Since I don't like the PS controllers, looks like a Sunset Overdrive Bundle is in my near future! Enjoy gaming!
