Bad devs don't suddenly become good because of an increase in power. If anything it is the opposite as there is more variables to control. Look at Factor 5 with Lair.

As for Tekken, I'm not talking about quality, I'm talking about sales. I apologize for that, often AAA/system seller discussion gets blurred lol.

The reason we are talking about only sequels is because that is where the discussion began. If you want to talk about new IP only, then Microsoft can easily match Sony with games like Too Human and Alan Wake, Infinite Undiscovery, Lost Odyssey etc.

In addition, Sony has already shown their 2008 line-up for the most part during last year, because they were trying to sell their console on their future. MS on the other hand probably have a fair bit to reveal, and they have already stated they will reveal stuff at E3.

Simply put, all last year people were claiming the PS3's 2008 library would blow the Wii and 360 away, but now we are here, it is looking like it is much of a muchness between the three consoles.

You bring up a good point but they have spent so much time and money that to blow the AI off would boggle the mind. They are a relatively inexperienced developer but they did show improvement from Killzone to Killzone Liberation so I'm hoping that they improve from Liberation to KZ2. I'm trying to be optimistic because this game has some crazy potential.

But thats just it.  The most recent rumours have Killzone 2 costing $60 MILLION!!!!  Does that sound like a solid investment to you? Or does it sound like something went horribly wrong and they are trying to fix it?  You've got Insomniac putting out game after game all at a reasonably high quality, but Guerilla is simply eating cash and is at what, four years dev time?  Add to this a series of rumours of K2 being mediocre, a relative media silence on the game recently and the first game's legacy?

The PS3 has a great line-up for 2008.  Whats changed is that six months ago everyone thought the PS3's line-up would crap on the 360's, but now you cannot reasonably say either line-up crushes the other.
