Unreal Engine 4 – New Video Shows Impressive Global Illumination Effects, Looks Almost Real

YouTube’s member ‘koooolalala’ has shared a new video, showing a scene that he has been working on in Unreal Engine 4. This scene uses a WIP Global Illumination system, and looks almost real. What’s really surprising here is that this scene was running with 60fps on an i7 3770 with a GTX670. Enjoy! Continue reading

I prefer other videos from the same user like these 2:

Still, it's easier to get high framerates in this kind of demos where the system doesn't have to work the AI of your allies/enemies and other things that would be present in an actual game.

Ryse: Son of Rome Coming To PC On October 10th, PC Requirements Revealed, New PC Trailer

Bloody hell, we’re late to the party. Well, no time to apologize for today’s lack of news, so let’s get straight to the point. Crytek has announced that Ryse: Son of Rome will be coming to the PC on October 10th. In addition, the company has revealed the game’s PC system specs that can be viewed below (do note that recommended is for 4K gaming). And if that wasn’t enough, a new trailer from the PC build has just been released. We’ve contacted Crytek and hopefully we’ll have a tech interview for Ryse in the next couple weeks, so stay tuned for more. Enjoy! Continue reading

The minimum req are fairly modest, to be honest: Dual Core CPU, 4GB of RAM and a DX11 card with 1GB. And the Recommended, which are for 4K, wouldn't be that impossible if it weren't for that 4GB of vRAM.

Surprising coming from Crytek.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070
