It WONT sell much because it has passed its peak long ago. Even the PS4 and Xbone versions wont sell much.
But as for the statement they made they are just doing the Ubisoft/EA approach. 'Our games dont sell as much as we had hoped on your console, therefore its not our fault its yours'.
