Whenever I visit Japan, the consistently high-quality of customer service always leaves me impressed. It's probably the best in the world. And it's no coincidence that most Japanese considered service industry jobs to be just as 'real' as any other occupation. After all, a society made up of nothing but doctors and lawyers would be a complete bust. We need restaurant workers, janitors, etc. These jobs are an important part of any well-rounded society.
