- Tekken 6

- Motorstorm 2

I know throwing lists lists around gets annoying but I would say that these are all potential AAA titles. Just trying to prove a point. I do agree with the fact that the original Killzone was very mediocre, but that was mainly because it pushed the hardware too much. I'll admit I'm a little worried that Gorilla games hasn't shown KZ2 for a while, but I still feel fairly confident the game will turn out well due to the fact the the PS3 is strong enough to handle just about anything. But honestly, you've seen the game. As far as graphics are concerned you can't really deny it's amazing. Can you?

IP stands for Intellectual Property.

Taking only exclusive sequels due out in 2008, that is the true PS3 list.

360 list:

-Fable 2

-Ninja Gaiden 2

-Banjo Kazooie 3

-Gears of War 2

Given the first Killzone was horrible, the first Motorstorm was only decent (by common standards, personally I loathed it) and Tekken is in a drastic decline, which console do you think has the best sequel line-up this year?

What I will grant you is this. The picture would be very different if Sony got GT, FF or GoW3 in this year.

Edit: About Killzone 2.  It wasn't graphics that let the first Killzone down, it was lousy gameplay.  Quite frankly, nothing we've seen of Killzone 2 looks to be improving on gameplay, and you cant play graphics

You can't say by any means the first Killzone was HORRIBLE. It was no master piece but a 7.5 from IGN and an average of 7.2 on game-rankings is somewhat respectable. The main thing that hindered the game was its AI and I think the PS2's power is to blame. Now that the PS3 is here it would only be logical to assume the game would improve in that regard.

Once again with Motorstorm an average of 8.5 is very good. If you hated it that's your opinion but to most it's something that will strengthen the software line-up. What makes you think Tekken is in decline is beyond me. The Last one achieved AAA status and a 9.3 from IGN. If it's just your opinion again that's all good.

I personally like the PS3's list anyway you look at it better mainly because it has titles I like. What I don't understand why we are now strictly comparing sequels. Is it because we don't have a good enough idea as to how well the new franchises will turn out?

You and I have seen previews for many of these games and we can tell roughly how they will end up being therefore I think it's more reasonable to include all games that have been recognized as potential AAA games. If you were to look at all of the games I think the PS3 would have an edge just the way the xbox had a great year last year. You don't have to agree mainly because it all depends on taste. To each his own and that will be that.
