I've put my PS3 up for sale, and a potential buyer claims that all the games I've bought digitally are wothless to him because they are tied to my PSN user/account. I have no clue about how this works. Hopefully some of you can help me out, I'd hate to be ripped off.

And if digital purchases are tied to my account, I absolutely need to reconsider purchasing through PS Store in the future.

You are welcome.

Also, if you are buying games digitally in the future, I suggest buying each game on a separate account. You can still play them on your main account (each console supports up to 16 accounts), and when you're done with the game, you can resell it easily, thus making most of your money back. Digital downloads don't drop in price as much as discs.

EDIT: I also recommend changing the password (from the solution above) over the PC and not on the console. That way, your old console will not have any trace of your new password, should the new owner want to dig after it.
