Simple. The idea was fresh 10 years ago. Everyone would try out the game and enjoy it. However, less and less were willing to comit the time to the game (400 hours at least per game, for me) as the new versions came out. And, the addition of 100+ pokemon per game was simply too much for some people. I still enjoy the game, and I know I will continue to enjoy it for years to come; when we will have 1k+ different Pokemon.
I am certain that, in its lifetime, Diamond/Pearl will do, at least, Ruby/Saphire levels. I dont think we will have another 30million Pokemon game, ever. |
