You weren't there, you have no idea. Casual gamers were drawn in. I talked to some of them and they were clearly casual, most certainly not all HARDCORE like you claim...

Sorry. They were NOT casual gamers for the FACT that they were THERE in line the day the console released. That alone makes them not a casual gamer. Casual gamers BY defitintion to NOT get launch consoles and surely don't wait in line to do so.  I don't get why this is confusing. Casual gamers barely know a console is released, and usually don't pick one up a until a few years in when a bunch of their friends have one.
