None of the console versions have infinite worlds anyway. Not even PS4 or Xbox One versions will, they will be 32000 to 32000 blocks which is still massive (about 30x bigger than last gen versions).
If a 3DS version was like Vita, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions it would be good enough though.
