People were up in arms complaining, saying they wouldn't buy it. Fast forward to now and few expect not to pay for DLC. It's a standard. EA Access (more likely something akin to it in a subscription model) is a future we'll all come to accept in five years. Get over it. |
It's a standard is the problem. Even DLC is an issue many do not like but for every million that don't buy it, 200k do and those 200k sales are more than enough usually to make it worthwhile for the developer. So they will keep dividing up the content, charging you more for something that was once either free or superb value to make as much from you as they can.
I don't even by DLC now. Only 'DLC' I own are from GOTY collections, like ME2 on PS3 and Dragon Age O, didn't buy any DLC for ME3 or DA2, no matter how good (they are rarely good value).
EA Access only devalues Live and PS+ as well as divides content up even more.
Hmm, pie.
