All this system-chest puffing is ridiculous when, for once, there is no definitive BEST system this generation. The Wii suffers from bad graphics and poor utilization of it's control scheme, resulting in a couple AAA titles paired with an ocean of shit. The PS3 doesn't have enough games yet and isn't being exploited to it's full potential, but it's got a slick UI and great value outside of it's gaming capabilities. The 360 has the best library of games so far (due to it's year head start), but despite that year lead still hasn't got a firm stranglehold on anything except a possible second place finish in America; mostly due to prior problems with reliability.
Really the only way to get the full gaming experience this generation is to buy all three consoles. If you can't afford that... well you're going to miss out on something. That doesn't mean you need to try to talk up what you've purchased. Just enjoy the games that do come out for it.
Wii:
Pros -
Unique control scheme that can add new dimensions to game play.
Great first party support.
Economical price.
Cons -
Unique control scheme that's tacked on to games that don't need it.
Loads of rushed, "who knew it'd be a hit", games.
The price isn't so economical when you've bought the extra wiimotes and nunchuks required to exploit the games full at-home multiplayer experience.
360:
Pros -
Best library of games so far.
Good graphics.
Great online play.
Cons -
Sounds like a jet plane taking off in your living room.
Shooter-centric (The JRPGs released so far are getting more credit than they deserve due to a lack of competition.)
PS3:
Pros -
Good graphics, potential for more.
Best Blu-Ray player on the market.
Excellent media server.
A lot of good games on the way (about the same point in it's life cycle that the 360 got a bunch of good games).
Cons -
Suffering from mediocre ports that don't gain from PS3 hardware.
Poor selection of titles.
Pricey.
