EA Access (more likely something akin to it in a subscription model) is a future we'll all come to accept in five years. Get over it.

That's exactly the reason why so many people are against it, because just like now in the future there will be many more inexperianced gamers with money to spend and it will become standard if we allow it. The point is to learn from history instead of repeating it by following a path that will be damaging to the industry.
