Even though the Wii had a huge install base third parties only supported it with very sub-par ports/exclusives. There's always an excuse on why they do this, eg...the system is too weak. Now that the Wii U isn't selling like hot cakes this gives them another excuse to not support Nintendo. It could be Nintendo themselves not willing to work with third parties, but I don't know. I think Minecraft would sell very well on the Wii U especially because of the gamepad controller. However, I'm not the developer nor publisher of the game so I can't say on why they won't bring it to the Wii U as of yet.
