I call BS on this comment. In Japan the PS4 is stragling behind the Wii U, both of which are stragling behind the Vita. All three of those well behind the 3DS. Considering Nintendo consoles over there has it's own Dragon Quest series, it also has the main Monster Hunter series (which is exclusive to Nintendo platforms and not referring to the spin-offs like Frontier). Nintendo is releasing a portable, and significantly faster and better 3DS model over there. I'm going to hazard a guess and assume that home console sales will dip a lot in a country that is mostly portable gamers. Plus it's releasing with Xenoblade Chronicles The only thing that helps Sony platforms it seems are traditional JRPGs and hack 'n' slash games. But I'm afraid you are dilusional here. Sony won't be selling millions more in Japan, no way in hell that is possible. Like Soundwave said,"It'll boost the baseline sure, but nothing is saving the console business over there." |
Ps4 is struggling behind the Wii U because there are no games out that cater to the Japanese audience. What is one game that Japanese gamers like that is on the Ps4 right now? Nothing. Meanwhile, Wii U has 3D Mario, Mario Kart 8, and other games already. Since when did I compare the Ps4 to the 3ds? and When did I ever say that Sony will sell millions? I said "Ps4 is going to do amazing." It is going to outperform the Wii U hands down, and if you want to make a bet I will be happy to, because the statement you made "no way in hell that is possible" on Sony selling systems in Japan is crazy haha. Xenoblade Chronicles, ill give you that, but you do know the game sold sub 200k in Japan right? On a system that "Won" the console generation with over 12 million sold in Japan alone. I truley believe that the only reason console sales have dipped badly is because there are zero games out right now that people want in Japan, everything is on handhelds or mobile these days, BUT when games do come out, lets say for Ps3, they sell 500k plus in one week! But hey if you want to keep thinking that none of these huge, platform selling franchises will move any Ps4's, then thats on you. Ill come back to this comment by the end of 2015.
