Ninty has no competition in the handheld space...except mobiles just recently, which explains the massive decline in sales from DS to 3ds. Hell i would say DS sold for the same reasons Wii did, it was something different on the market.

It doesn't work that way though Oni. If I can show you 1 console that sells boatloads first and foremost on Nintendo games, then there must be another reason why the N64 and friends don't sell than "Nintendo gamers just don't buy that many games".

i never said they didnt, now you are putting words in my mouth. Answer my question. I answered yours. Cause the only Ninty home console that really did gangbusters is the Wii, maybe NES but that was teh only game in town. So you tell me if the Nintendo gmaes themselves are that much great why dont the average console does much better? Hell SOny at its worse selling still manage to sell 80mil+ thats better than every Ninty home console besides Wii for comparison sakes. So the only logical conclusion is there was something different about the Wii that allowed it to sell that well. 

Because Nintendo doesn't pay the user to buy the console like sony traditionally has. Despite not taking huge loses on hardware Nintendo has been able to use exclusive games to push hardware sold at profit.
