While I was thinking about what my favorite series were I realized there are only two long running series where I enjoy every iteration: DKC and Pokemon.
Donkey Kong Country
Pokemon (Main series)
Super Mario (Main series)
The Legend of Zelda (Main series)
Sid Meier's Civilization
Here were some others that floated into my mind.
I really like the original Halo trilogy, but the rest I thought were just alright.
Call of Duty 4 is one of my favorite games of all time but since its release only World at War and Black Ops II have been good.
Sonic's original trilogy was great, but the rest of the main series is abysmal.
