You can tell it was a portable game and it was used the majority of its development to focus on game design and atmosphere as opposed to graphical fidelity.

I think this is a big mistake by capcom as the console versions didn't sell well at all (including the Wii U). They are now going to have to change a lot of aspects of the game to appeal to console gamers and the jury is out on whether they have the ability to do that.
