You know how it would look even better? By skipping PS3 and 360 that are ancient technology as well. But fyi games are not about visuals they are about gameplay.
The 3DS controls had no influence on how the PS360 versions controlled at all especially because it supported the circle pad pro. If the controls were crap then it was because the devs were stupid and btw Id argue that a 3ds offers far far far more freedom than a ps360 controller ever could because the 3ds with circle pad and touchscreen has more buttons than a standard controller.
