Why can't the U just be a late bloomer?

Yes the Wii U screwed itself over in so many ways, so back to the topic why do we think it will bloom and beat the GC?  Or you're agreeing, Wii U is badly managed like N64 & GC, therefore don't expect it to do any better.

I don't know about beating GCN, it could still go either way, but I think it'll be a late bloomer (as in, its best sales are ahead of it) simply because at the moment it's too expensive, and it doesn't have Smash Bros yet. MK8 has showed that its baseline can be raised.

you and the OP have a very different meaning on what late blooming is. FOr the record yours makes a bit more sense
