Well my guess would be that this is Sony's last handheld. They are trying to push PS4 sales in Japan which have been struggling because they need to turn the market around to what it was pre Sony handhelds. After all it was the Sony handhelds that killed the Japanese home console market =P
Home consoles in Japan shall rule once again
