As for why we get crap for graphics on games made for tablets, it's a simple matter of keeping development costs low.

the i7 is a strong CPU, but the Surface Pro 3 has no discrete GPU, that's why it's graphical processing capabilities are waay below current gen consoles

the HD5000 included in the CPU can't even compete with PS360 GPUs

Actually the HD 5000 graphics are roughly on par with last gen.
