All she did was make youtube videos. How is that "making a mountain out of a molehill"?
If she is making a mountain out of a molehill then what are the people who are sending her death threats doing? The same people who are claiming that this isn't that big a deal are the same people who can't stop talking about how passionately they hate Sarkeesian. Clearly this is pretty serious if it inflames such passion in people. Is sexism in gaming the biggest most important problem our planet faces today? Of course not, but it is the topic she has chosen to address and it isn't any less valid than any other topic of discussion just because it isn't the most important issue of our time.
Just because a group of people isn't "whining" about something doesn't mean that the thing is not a problem either. And are you really serious about children in action games? Children should not be playing M rated games to begin with so they can't be "underrepresented" as they are not a part of that audience in the first place. Why would you choose children as your example? What a strange choice. Even if children as a group had a reason to complain about their portrayal I still don't see how that has anything to do with Sarkeesian's message.
