The 360 has the larger, more varied, and for the moment the best titles in regards to most genres. That is an argument that cannot be denied, and the console is actually picking up speed not relinquishing it. So situation is only going to get even better. To make the situation better Microsoft even provides backwards compatibility with their previous console. So honestly your going to find a greater library for the next two years on the platform.
Honestly if you simply must have a particular game on the PS3 or the Wii. You have no alternative. However that is a very shortsighted logic to make purchases by. No single game thats going to entertain you for perhaps a month or two is worth spending five hundred dollars to play or even three hundred dollars to play.
The arguments are valid. Especially when you see the best arguments against it are potential based arguments. We are supposed to be gamers not long term investors. Anticipated games do not equate to great games regardless of platform. The things that matter most exist independently of the platform, and that is how the game plays. Great graphics make a great game even better, but they cannot save a mediocre gaming experience. The best protection against that is having the variety to sift through.
Which is exactly what the 360 will have. What it has now, and what it will have more of in the near term. The larger library to find the gems that appeal to you. What is most important is having choices, and having a lot of really great choices.
