The Resident Evil Remaster was announced a few weeks ago to much fanfare from the Resident Evil community. After 12 years of being exclusive to Nintendo platforms, Resident Evil Remake was finally going to be put into the hands of Playstation, Xbox, and PC owners. But one thing lacking from the game's announcement was whether or not Wii U owners can expect the game, as well.

In an upcoming interview with Capcom producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, we learned that a Wii U version of the game is currently not Capcom's focus, stating that the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC versions are. We weren't told whether or not a Wii U version is completely out of the cards, so maybe there's hope.
