For example would be age, yes they say they did 7 yr olds but how many? Location, was it uniform all accross the country or was it in pockets. I know with a lot of scientific experiements, if your trials and treatments are not all mixed together with the same environment, usually your data is not very valid especially if there are not multiple replicates.

As the sampling methodology was never mentioned in the article (at least, I don't see where they did), we cannot know for sure how they did their screening or even if they just did basic random sampling. Suffice it to say, tho, Nielsen is a repuabtle stat research company and I am inclined to believe that there is credibility in their research methodology.
