PS3 level VR should be possible. GT6 already ran at 1440x1080 at near 60fps on PS3. That level of graphics would be fine with me in VR. Wipeout HD in VR, yes please.

I wonder about Oculus though. Will it force lower settings to make the experience smooth, or simply not run if your pc can't handle it? On console that has already been taken care of for you. On PC I regularly get slowdown in odd places, that would be killer in VR.

On PC everybody whas full control over their experience it means that you have to lower your settings yourself to make it run smooth. Not sure if its necessary to run the game at native resolution. You can also put all settings on low. To reach the necessary framerate.

Yeah I'm just wondering if they will do anything extra to ensure a smooth performance, dynamic detail levels for example. Usually when I go with auto detect settings the game runs fine 90-95% of the time, but there are still sections I have to go in the settings or let it chug along for a bit. I would imagine that to be very disruptive and nauseating in VR. I guess best to wait and see what the recommended/optimal specs are before upgrading my pc.
