*snip*

I know he likes trolling fans, but he rarely gives such a big room for doubt. On top of that, why would you purposely get a lot of people's hopes up for such a letdown. If anything that would decrease sales.

By "big room for doubt" you mean the time inbetween his troll, and when he reveals the truth? Yeah, that's true. Usually he does that right after. In some cases it's taken a while though. Palutena took a couple of months I believe. And before the reveal with Lucina and Robin, he tweeted that there would be a character reveal the next day. The company behind Xenoblade retweeted that tweet, so everyone thought it would be Shulk. But then right before the reveal, Sakurai tweeted a pic of Rayman, so now people thought it would be Rayman. Whether Bayonetta, Rayman or Shulk are in the game or not, he hasn't adressed yet. Although we found that out through the leak I guess. But Ridley's tease was both very direct and specific, and there's been a long time since it happened with no update. Not sure what to make of that.

I haven't been following the progress of the supposed re-leak of the "real" DLC characters and their ligitimacy.
But until I see proof that this new info comes from the original leakers, I'm inclined to believe the first DLC leak since the rest of what they showed looks to have been absolutely true.

He specifically teased Ridley though. He is in the game in some fashion as we have already seen. People just made the connection with Shulk, that might have been intended, it might not have, probably was though. Rayman was disconfirmed by Nintendo of Canada(I think he said it on purpose just so people would know he's not in). and there is no reason to assume bayonetta is in through official sources.
