If you want the most cost effective way to have coverage of this gens quality games then the way to go is either Ps4/X1 + Wii U. Getting Ps4+X1 doesn't extend the variety of high quality gaming experiences you can buy. They effectively represent the same experience from the perspective of a gaming library.
The highlights of the Wii U library will never be avail anywhere else and based on history - its going to have the highest quality exclusives as nintendo is such a good developer. Anyone who cares about gaming is really missing out if they shut themselves out of Nintendo's library.
Bottom line - one console won't cover everything - not even close. But 2 should pretty much do it. So far - there's no compelling reason to buy all 3.
