The majority of Xbox's presence in the US was over the 360 generation, built of off the 25 million OG Xbox and the lack of competition for a year. I believe XB1 is releasing in China this year and PS4 is next year possibly, that coupled with the Chinese Gray market building up a similar base as the OG Xbox. Thus providing a more or less similar scenario in China now, as the 360 had in the beginning of the year. If China lifts its provisionary ban, then XB1 could easily excell. |
It's not just Xbox presence. It's console presence. America had console presence from both Sony and Nintendo, and a bit of presence from Microsoft by the time the 360 came out. China has absolutely 0 console presence, past imports.
And it is very doubtful China lifts the provisionary ban, at least not anytime soon.
You're Gonna Carry That Weight.
