It's a great 8" tablet, and only a decent gaming device.

The only differentiating factor is its stream capability but do realise that the controller costs an extra 60 bucks, and to stream game at 1080p@60FPS, you'll need a desktop PC with at least GTX 660 equipped.

It has a streaming service buillt in without the need of having a laptop with a Gtx card built in, also other services such as onlive can be used. I do realise that the controler costs 60 bucks I was planning on using a PS3 controller or buying a cheap controller from Ebay.

Something tells me you haven't made a lot of research on this thing!

You will need a minimum of GTX 650 to stream your PC games on the tablet itself or a separate TV/monitor via an HDMI connection.

At the same time, this tablet is pretty much a typical Android device with a variant of Arm Cortex A15, which nVidia calls it K1 as the chip is a bit customised. So in essence, this thing can play all Android games, a couple additional games such as Portal and Trine 2, and it has the ability to stream games from your PC only if your PC is equipped with GTX650 and higher (660 is minimum for 1080p@60FPS streaming though).

So if your PC is not equipped with a GTX650, then the streaming capability would be useless to you, so it’d be best if you rather wait for next Nexus unveiling and get that if the rumored specs turn out to be true, as it would be a better device for a possibly cheaper price.

Well you got me. I guess I did not do my research that well after all. It is still an amazing tablet and gaming device though at just 299 dollars, though I will try to atleast see the definate specs of the Nexus 8 or wait for thee next installment. Well done sir you have just broken our love .

PS: The device has both the Tegra k1 chip and the Arm Cortex A15. The Tegra k1 chip is the Gpu while the Arm cortex 15 is the Cpu.

Edit: Skip to 4:10 of this video. The tablet has a streaming service not requiring any laptop.
