It adds up after a while, after four years it's more than enough to buy a new console. I know people still do it, but I got the idea that the people on this thread generally don't want to do that.

Almost all your bills add up to something over 4 years. Plus if they want to play with their friends or family on one console online for a while they don't have to fork over the money online for the other console.
